Your business may have gone through some major changes, or you're planning on having a big launch for your professional website. Once your website is built on our end, it is available online for all visitors. You might be wondering - how can I temporarily deactivate my site while taking the time to make edits?

Luckily, we have just the solution for you! Here's a step-by-step guide on how to deactivate your website.

Step 1: Log into your Editor

First, log in to your Hub and select the Edit Website tab.

Step 2: Disable the pages on your sites and remove the navigation bar

Click on Pages, and choose Edit. Switch the toggle off to disable the pages and click Save.

Step 3: Remove the sections from your home page

If you still have different sections appearing on your home page, click on Home and you can remove these sections. Don't forget to click Save after you are done.

Step 4: Head to Sections and Edit your Header

Once you have completed step 3, head back and choose Sections, then Header. On this page, you can add the words COMING SOON or something similar in the Title field, and remove any other fields that you do not want to display. If you would like to remove the cover photo, simply press the bin icon. Make sure to press Save at the end!

You have now temporarily hidden your site from your customers and added a coming soon page in place of it!

Once you're ready to launch, just change the Title back to your business name and toggle the relevant pages back on.

Alternatively, you can contact our dedicated Customer Support team and request a Coming Soon overlay be added to your site. We'll create a landing page with a "Coming Soon" message and, once you're ready to launch, we'll remove the overlay.
