In this helpdesk article, we'll guide you through the process of editing your Cover Image. With these simple steps, you can have more flexibility in editing your Cover and make it stands out.

Please note, this feature is currently available to users on our Launch, Plus and Growth plans.

Step 1: Head to the Editor

Log in to your Hub and click on Edit Website. The Image Edit feature is currently available across four main sections.

  • Header > Cover Image
  • About > Media Image
  • Products Image
  • Services Image

Simply click on the Edit icon to start editing your images.

Step 2: Click on edit to start customising.

There are many different options for you to choose from:

Image Crop

You can choose from the range of aspect ratios that we currently have, such as 1:1, 4:3 and others. This allows you to set specific aspect ratio, ensuring that the cropped image adheres to particular width and height proportions.

You can also choose Custom and then drag a selection box or frame around the desired portion of the image. The selection can be adjusted by dragging its corners or sides.

Rotate & Flip

You also have a number of options to rotate or flip the cover photo if this matches the visual of your website.

Adjust

You can now edit the images by making different adjustment to its colors and brightness:

  • Brightness: This adjustment controls the overall lightness or darkness of an image.
  • Contrast: Increasing contrast enhances the distinction between light and dark elements, making the image more visually dynamic. Decreasing contrast can result in a more muted and subtle appearance.
  • Saturation: Saturation controls the intensity or vividness of colors in an image. Increasing saturation makes colors more vibrant and pronounced, while decreasing saturation makes the colors appear more muted or grayscale.
  • Hue: Hue adjustment allows you to shift the entire color spectrum of an image. This means that one color can be transformed into another while maintaining the overall balance of light and dark.
  • Colourize: This can help to transform monochromatic photos or videos into colorized versions, providing a more vibrant and realistic look.
  • Blur: You can intentionally reduce the detail and sharpness of the image.
  • Sharpness: Sharpness adjustments affect the clarity and definition of edges in an image. Increasing sharpness enhances the fine details, while decreasing it can create a softer, more diffused look.

Overlay

Overlays can be used to apply color gradients to an image, altering the overall color tone or introducing specific hues. This is a creative way to enhance the mood or atmosphere of a photo.

In particular, you can choose the option "Save as Filter" after customising the effect that you like.

You will then be able to reuse this effect on other photos next time without having to recreate the same settings! The new filter can be found here:
